What does it mean for Bridge of Hope Harrisonburg-Rockingham to be a Christian faith-based organization? The Faith Statement linked below was adopted by the Board of Directors, August 20, 2018 and was amended June 2021.
Harrisonburg-Rockingham, a community where no family is homeless.
To engage Christian faith communities in ending family homelessness through neighboring relationships that demonstrate Christ’s love.
Bridge of Hope Harrisonburg-Rockingham launched in August 2010 as our community discerned the desire of churches to engage in meaningful relationships with families facing homelessness. And so, Bridge of Hope Harrisonburg-Rockingham was born.
In October 2010, the first single mother and her child were matched with a group of Neighboring Volunteers. Word about Bridge of Hope spread in our community and today churches continue to step forward to be involved.
