The Bridge of Hope Story Within the Story of Easter

April 9, 2020

Maundy ThursdayJesus asks to be remembered. There is a real fear in being forgotten by friends, neighbors, society when you are facing an ominous situation.

Good FridayJesus is crucified. Our families go through the trauma of homelessness, of having run out of options. For many, it feels like rock bottom. Hopelessness.

Holy SaturdayThe tomb. The waiting. The program takes time. There are never quick fixes. There is only surrender to new possibilities that requires hard work and deep trust, built over time.

Easter SundayThe resurrection and new life. A new narrative is formed, and our families begin to live into new futures. The cycle of homelessness is broken.

We at Bridge of Hope Harrisonburg-Rockingham remember this Holy Week with you.  Wherever you find yourself within the Easter story, may the unconditional love of God be ever present.
